Well, this was one post I couldn't let slip away into the recesses of my mind. It had to be recorded. I know that it is not uncommon to document a child's first haircut. We did with Colton. It was awesome. He was screaming and covered in hair and yogurt. We recently gave Brian his first haircut as well, but that is not the point of this post. The point of this post is Colton's 27th haircut. Okay, I don't really know what number, but the kid is three and has had plenty of haircuts in that time. You'd think he'd have calmed down about it by now, but I just had to share with the world have far we have not come. Behold:
Colton was a little bit chubbier at 7 months, but I'm pretty sure the sentiment was the same: "Why are you doing this to me?"
"I thought I could trust you. Why would you submit me to this?"
"Make it stop! Make it stop! Make it stop RIGHT NOW!"
At least this time the hair wasn't sticking to the yogurt on his face. Poor child. He did get a sucker at the end to compensate for all the suffering...

I'm so glad we're not the only ones that subject our children to such torture. :) I made the mistake of bringing Evan to a "professional" place to get his haircut. Believe me, it was NOT pretty. He's just going to have to suffer having bad haircuts from Mom or even worse haircuts from Dad until he stops pretending that we're torturing him.
Whoops...I am not anonymous, just distracted by a little tyke who wants to type on the computer at the same time.
Hmmm...apparently, my "anonymous" comment disappeared. Redo: Haircuts for little people are the most dreadful things. We cheat a bit. We set up the laptop so Grey can watch Toy Story or Cars 2 during the ordeal. Last time, Grey was feeling under-the-weather and it was the easiest haircut yet. We had the most docile 19-month old ever. We may try to do all his haircuts when he sick from now on. Grey sends his condolences to Colton.
I thought you were posting pics of Brian and Colton right next to eachother at first and was like...they are twins. However I read the post and bless Colton, haircuts are his challenge. When I was little I was terrified of getting a shot.:)Miss the Scott clan!
That is just amazing. Same reaction faces. Do you think there's a chance you will have a similar 16 yr old installment?
Okay, it's about time you got back to business. No matter what else you do in life, please leave time for blogging. The grandparents of the world insist. Welcome back.
